As an optional, yes. I also concur. However, the point that you just don't seem to be accepting is that a hint serves exactly that purpose. I am baffled why someone who "doesn't care" would be keeping a tally, though, instead of just writing a hint (which would have taken less time and energy than writing more than 30 messages in this thread). People do oppose the addition, and some people agree conditionally to the addition. No one is debating the hint route.
