That will meant that the user will want to cross-compile also a lot of 
packages from BLFS, most notably an X Window System, a Windows or Desktop 
Manager, and other big packages.

Then, or BLFS should to change to use also cross-compile instructions, or the 
user is smart enough to figure out how to build that packages. But it that 
case the user possibly will know also how to cross-compile a full system 
without the need of to read the LFS book.
