Eww...no.  When I had ssh availible on the outside of my router (I use
PPTP with dedicated ppp users now), I observed approx 85% of the failed
login attempts for the root user.  Granted a good password works fine
and not doing something dumb like allowing access from an untrusted
network, but why not just eliminate that 85% from the get go?
