Just for a heads up to the rest of the community. Since one of the goals of the new cross-lfs stuff is to make a useable 64-bit build of LFS, and since I have a AMD64 machine with LOTS of empty hard drive space, I'm working on setting up partitions with each of the major 64-bit distributions installed to serve as a test-bed for our instructions. Currently, I have Gentoo 64-bit (which I'm using as my current workstation until we get our 64-bit stuff ready and useable), CentOS 4 64-bit (RHEL clone), and Ubuntu Hoary 64-bit. Looking for other suggestions as to 64-bit capable distros to test from, so if you know of more distro's which are currently 64-bit capable, and have ISO's available for download, drop me a line!
My goal with this is to ensure our new stuff works when being built from each of the currently available 64-bit distributions. J -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
