Heh - I was about to say the opposite ... I have always liked the use of a 
shorthand
for the inverted triangle 'because' in my notes (I did a maths degree), but 
have never
found a good equivalent in the ASCII character set.

Perhaps now is the time to bite the bullet and use Unicode...
