I gather derby fans think he's rubbish (although he has played >200 games for them and been their captain), but he was on loan at Sheff United and regarded as being solid enhoug there. I think he's a free transfer, but at this stage of the season that's to be expected as it's out of contract players sorting out their next contract that are being snapped up.
