I know this is important to you, but SERIOUSLY???? have you ever seen such
drivel as been written here? "Opacity scores"??, "Secrecy Scores"???, pictures
of the Bahamas compared to pictures of poor down trodden refugees - Christian
aid??? wtf do they have to do with football?

I didn't write any part of this report personally. I posted it on here as
part of the wider picture which is gathering momentum, and it will become less
and less possible to ignore it (or maybe it will fade away again - who knows).
Clearly it is a subject which is of great interest to me but please don't
assume that I agree with every word of a report written by third parties. Where
I may (or may not) agree in general, please do not assume that I 100% concur
with the arguments used or that I personally take them as far as the writer may
wish to take them.
An exchange of views about its content helps (at least in theory or perhaps
in hope) to develop everyone's thoughts on the wider subject.
Calling it drivel is not something that I would agree with but it certainly
looks at the subject from a different and much wider perspective. A new
perspective often takes time to become clearer and more accepted or may be
debunked and shrink in relevance and importance. Time will decide.

Speaking personally, I HAVE made very clear statements (used on the Trusts
website for example) which said things on the lines of -
My objectives have always been to seek a greater involvement for the fans in
our club and to strive to prevent inappropriate financial exploitation of the
fan base. Essentially I believe that fans deserve a fair return on their
financial and emotional 'investment' in the club.
THAT is what you "know" is important to me (if it is necessary to make a
personal statement).

What has offshore secret ownership of football grounds got to do with
football ?
What has secret ownership of football clubs go to do with football ?

Decisions taken at the FL meeting one week tomorrow together with possible
changes to the financial regulation of the PL may be about to move the
goalposts quite considerably. That is without the European developments. It is
unfortunate that these things may have a greater impact on Leeds than upon some
other clubs and this is potentially of very considerable interest.
