I remember that game as well - we bought a bloke's season ticket in the
West Stand paddock for that game.  Not many games from that era stand out
so clearly to me.  I was 12 at the beginning of that season.  I don't know
why that one match should be so clear, but I do remember thinking Aspin
had a great game at the time.  One odd thing was that some months later
Blue Peter did a piece about footballers and followed a young player
making his debut... Neil Aspin.  It was a big thrill to watch that in the
days when only the minority of games were televised.

Funnily enough I've just checked Jabba's site and one guy on there reckons
Aspin's debut was against 'boro.  Surely not?
