Being slightly wasted is fair enough but remember that you ARE slightly wasted. If person X does not have the time to inform themselves to the same extent as person W then that is also ok so long as person X remembers his lack of being informed and does insist that he knows as much about it as person W. Balanced judgement is not based on part knowledge and part ignorance. That is not the meaning of balance. If you are aware that you have gaps in your knowledge then take that on board yourself and don't blame others who have made themselves better informed. They are NOT better people but they ARE better informed. In other words if you KNOW that you are lacking in knowledge then don't be so arrogant as to think that you can form an equally valid judgement anyway. You accept your own lack of knowledge FIRST, then join the debate. You can certainly argue with the conclusions drawn by others but you have to bear in mind that you are the one who is probably wrong if you are less informed than the people who you are debating with. What the hell. We are all Leeds fans or we wouldn't be here. I have just realised that I am several Belgian beers under par. That is NOT an enviable position to be in as I fairly sure that you will agree. Oh, and when I say you I don't me YOU, obviously. I think there is only Czech stuff in the fridge. What am I saying. ONLY Czech stuff. _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
