Excellent points about Taylor, Coppell and Pulis. And you are probably right that Kells should prove himself (though the same might have been said about Keane). But I don't think we can afford to give Wise and Bates a single moment more than they've had. Michael Gardiner San Diego Whites In a message dated 5/11/2007 10:59:32 A.M. Kelly would be an awful idea in my view, he needs to go and cut his teeth at an irish league club or something to learn the trade. The expectation and size of the job would be overwhelming there are managers who you really wouldnt have ever considered before like Peter Taylor (brighton gillingham and Hull all promoted from league 1 (as is) Coppell (Brighton and Reading), tony pulis etc... there are good managers at this level but you wouldnt expect them to take you into the premiership However as I mentioned i would give wise and bates 1 more season (unless league 2 is beckoning then I might change my mind) >From: "Mark Humphries" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>,<[email protected]> >Subject: Re: [LU] Wise, Bates etc. >Date: Fri, 11 May 2007 16:49:18 +0100 > >I said he may well be good, but you are really prepared to risk a total >unknown at this stage? > > > >If we were a mediocre championship side with little to lose, maybe worth a >punt, but we need to get out of league one asap, we cant afford to train >Kelly up as a manager. > > > >From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] >Sent: 11 May 2007 16:44 >To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [email protected] >Subject: Re: [LU] Wise, Bates etc. > > > >What makes you think he can't? > > > >Fair question, though, so I'll answer it.
