As far as I know the land Israel now exists on was not much more than barren desert and was legitimately sold to them by the then land owners. The fact that the muslim powers that be then threatened the land owners with death if they continued to sell their land to the Israeli's should tell you everything you need to know. They sold barren land, the Israeli's turned it into something useful, now they want it back. For free.
