so it's only turkey. you're not bothered about all the countries all
over the world, including in the west, that abuse freedom and
democracy, ignore civil liberties, fix elections. torture ctizens
and thousand and one other nasty things.

we buried a friend last week. he was victim of mindless violence.
just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. found
himself between two groups of football fans[sic].
got hit with a baseball bat, went down and was further kicked
and hit. it was nowhere near a football ground but more or less
in a town centre on a busy weeday afternoon. he wasn't even
that interested in football. he was a life support machine for
15 months. they finally decided to turn it off.

they did get the people who did it. most said they didn't
mean anything to happen, it was just supposed to be words
and just done in fun. the one who had wielded the baseball
bat - middle class, well educated, white, upoper managment
job - said everyone was shouting about violence and hate
so he was just putting the words into action but normally
  he wasn't like that ...

anyway our friend is now buried.
did i say he was turkish?

  guy
