being an inanimate object i'm not sure if the can be called dead
quiet yes, v quiet but then again it is the middle of a public holiday
and (most) folk not at work, out chasing easter bunnies, hiding
eggs, doing family chores or sitting biting finger-nails waiting for
scores to come through. (there may even be some remembering
the religious significance of easter, especially as the christian,
orthodox and jewish celebrations of it are more or less coinciding,
but then again probably not. most folk seen to have no idea what
what easter is really all about)

thinks, maybe an inanimate object can be called dead (and no,
i'm not referring to moronic elements among some people who
tentatively claim to be a member of homo sapiens). for my
computer died at the beginning of the year, one of the reasons
wny i have been so silent on the list - during the storm which
swept over europe mid-january a treet chose to fall on the house.
apart from hitting my foot it also landed on the computer which
combined with the rain pouring in over everything sawy the poor
beastie turn over with it's toes in the air. then there was damage
to the power and telecommunications circuits (still not properly
fixed and thus on the blink)

thankfully a friendly techie place eventually manage to recover
quite a bit of the data from the dead machine and put it onto
a new one but still stuff missing.

add to the above having currently two incapacitated hands,
one from the broken wrist waiting to be operated and the
other over a month ago when in trying to avoid a group of idiots
and two dogs bloggint eh road and chasing round i hit the curb
coming down with a crash on aforesaid hand(s). not broken
but badly bruised and swollen and still strapped up giving a
  lot of gip.

well if leeds need need someone to fill in goal i'm sure i could
  manage it.

  guy
