You couldn't have been on the list in the wilko days then. You wouldn't believe the arguments/debates I had on here about him, and this was the bloke who got us promotion and the league title. Still the last Englishman to win the league I think?
Can't even remember what exactly the dissenters (Mr Goodair) held against him, probably because he was a bit dour. Ah, those were the days - how fantastic to argue about such things when you are a top league side :) -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Tim Leslie Sent: 20 February 2007 10:12 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [LU] Shock, horror Don't you stereotype me Captain America ;-) DOL - Bold but limited manager Blackie - Great coach, poor manager. Wilko - Saviour of Leeds United in the 80's/90's!!! Where on earth do you get 'nutter' from? He turned us around from a similar situation to the one we're in now, built up the youth academy, bought well (generally ... we'll try and forget Thomas Brolin!) Wise - Not so very what??? Tall? Other than his faux pas on the mole (Which as I suspected has quietly gone away now! Oops, I mentioned the mole, d'oh I mentioned it again :-) So just be careful with your stereotyping ... you overweight, flag waving, passportless american .... (That was a joke ... I'm sure you've got a passport;-)) > > The list never changes. We bitch. We moan.
