Wise has the POTENTIAL to be a good manager, but is still very much the raw article (See Mole incident for reference!). So far his buys have been less than inspiring to say the least. I think this is unfair. Tore Andre Flo and Alan Thompson were inspired signings, and it's just unfortunate that each suffered the "sign for Leeds, get injured" curse (see Batty, Seth Johnson, Robbie Fowler, et al). Based on match reports from the weekend, I'd be willing to bet that with those two playing, we'd have beaten Cardiff. The Danish keeper also seems to be good. Bear in mind that we are the lowest club in the English second division - hardly a position of strength in negotiations to buy players. (And let's give Wise credit for spotting the ability of Rui Marques, who is almost like a new signing for us.) Cheers!
