It's an option - if i ever have to watch Kandol play again ! Short Report Team was; Sully Richardson, Marques, Heath, Sa Douglas, Howson, Nicholls, Thompson Blake, Kandol Scrappy first half - and we scored against the run of play after they'd had a goal disallowed for offside. Kandol sort of one a header, Blake got to the byline and pulled it back for Howson to turn in. Sadly our chant of "1-0 and your birds got flu" didn't really catch on. Our only other chance of the first half was when Kandol was clean through but chose to shoot wildly from 30 yards rather than take the ball inside where he's have forced the defender to try and tackle him from behind. In truth Norwich did little and though we were a bit fortunate to lead, it looked like we might hold on to it. Wasn't long before they equalised though - Dublin (who was playing centre-half) showing a bit of quality to lash a half-cleared corner home. Wise did little though despite the fact that Kandol was having an absolute shocker - put through for a 2nd time he lashed it high and wide into the crowd from outside the box even though he only had Dublin who must be nearly twice his age chasing him. His poor finishing was far from the biggest problem, he showed a complete lack of desire and bottle, often just waving a toe at the ball in a tackle and thus losing 70-30s in his favour. When Wise eventually subbed him from Moore, he was booed off by the Leeds contingent. They then managed to score from our corner, we tried one of those pull it back for someone to volley in from 30 yards efforts - totally forgetting that Ronaldinho doesn't play for us - lost possesion which gave Huckerby time and space to run at Richardson - a goal was inevitable from about 30 yards away. Wise then brought Elliott on up front - who resembles a younger taller Carlton Palmer, he showed more effort in a few minutes than Kandol had managed in a whole game without really looking in control of the ball. We had 4 minutes of injury-time but that just gave them time to set Huckerby free for Sully to save this time and then to hit the post. We got what we deserved in the end Scores Sully 6 - OK might have done better with the 2nd. Richardson 6 - GOt forward a couple of times in 2nd half Sa 7 - Not a left back but battled well and one good run into box 2nd half. Health 6 - Big lump Marques 7 - Did well though the odd hairy moment. Douglas 6 - Very lucky not to get send off for deliberate handball when already booked. Nicholls 5 - Only noticed him when he fouled someone - disappointing. Howson 6 - Tidy but not in game much. Thompson 7 - Probably our best player - some quality touches and getting fitter. Blake 5 - Went round in circles Kandol 1 - An embarrassment Matt Douglas booking
