How dare you!

That net-scorcher was scored in the Grand Final for
Not-Really-Mackems-Mackems v the CarToon Army.

I missed out on playing in the feast of football that was Lards "IF
Wiggy Runs Any Slower He Will Put Down Roots" v Benelux "Allard's Judas
VI" Lards.

And the rest of the list wonders what we are rambling on about...

I must admit first thought when i saw the team - was oh god that must be
the worst Leeds team ever - but can't argue with the result.

The short review from Mr Turford at half-time last night was - one
each 2 poor goals from 2 sh*t teams - and at full-time "Leeds game was
like Lards v Benelux Lards, shite but lit up by a Woolmer esq style free
kick."

Speaking of the short-arsed baldy Lards manager - he's doing the
London marathon this year and anyone who wants to sponsor him can do so

Well we chalked up a rare away victory and to be fair we deserved it.
When the team was announced with no Nicholls, no Flo and no Derry we
feared the worse, surely a midfield of Sa , Douglas, Howson and Thompson
would be overrun and we would be in for a hammering ?
Instead the team went for it, fighting and contesting every ball and at
times playing some decent pass and move football.
Once again Marques made everyone wonder why he was not given a chance
earlier, Sa continued to impress, Thomspon looked a class apart and
Douglas covered every blade of grass putting in one tremendous goal
saving tackle.
We deservedly went one up when a floated free kick was poked in by Heath
, the second was another great free kick from Thompson. Hull never
really threatened and never put us under any real pressure - they were
pretty awful in truth. The goal came when we failed to clear a free kick
wiht Lewis colliding with another Leeds player resulting in the ball
falling kindly for the Hull player to score from a yard out. But despite
this equalising goal coming in the dying seconds of the first half we
refused to crumble and cmae out for the seond half seemingly full of
confidence.
So all in all a good result and performance even thought the gloss was
taken off a little bit when news filtered through that we were now
bottom of the league.
For the person who asked about Tom Elliott - since he did not get on the
pitch it is impossible to comment on his ability but he certainly looked
very tall and thin when he was warming up - think a young black Peter
Crouch !!!
