Agree with all the other reports really. One thing that did strike me is that WBA players seemed to have an idea whob was supposed to be doing what and when. This obviously helped them play the crisp, passing football that they did, whereas for our players they had to trap the ball, and then look for a man to pass to (and then get tackled).
Unsurprising when you see how few games this lot have played for Leeds: 3 debutants (Sa, Thompson & Flo), Marques making his 4th start and Elliot, Nicholls and (?)Foxe have all played less than 10 games for us. Between the four of them I don't think our back four have played 20 games for Leeds, and this is the part of the team where understanding and the ability to operate as a unit is most important. It wasn't the amount of effort put in by the players that worried me: it was the confusion. Is there enough time for them to gel enough to keep us up? I don't know, but on the plus side we have the makings of a very good Third division team... Still, Thompson's goal was worth the admission fee on it's own. According to my Dad. Who's a senior citizen and therefore only pays half price anyway. Onwards and upwa- Well, onwards!
