I'd be happiest of all if Bates told us all one-off income amounts that weren't
budgeted for (and KB loves telling us how he budgets for worst case scenario
etc) were going into a ring-fenced pot (can you ring-fence a pot? Presumably a
fairly small fence? I digress) to be use to fund the repurchase of Elland Road.

Not convinced it'll happen, but that's the one thing that would really signify
we were back (and would attract the attention of outside investors).

Subject: Re: [LU] £5 million from Chelsea

I think you're right there! Chelski might have been tempted to risk it had
it not been for Man U now starting to look like mounting a real challenge!

The play off final money was good but we can't yet expect every penny
brought in to be shipped straight back out on tranfers if you ask me
(sadly). I'd imagine KB would maybe release half of that (If we're lucky)
to DW after taking out further monies for old players/mangers/KB
Payoff/Swindon Town compensation. I'd say fact is, (I can't mind as I
don't know the FACTS ... do any of us?), but it would APPEAR that our
debts are more than manageable now and by the end of the season will be
minimal in todays footballing world.
