I may be in a minority of one but I reckon he is the best of the candidates available ( Curbs was never going to come !) He has some experience (unlike both Blackie and Carver) in which he has proved he does have some talent. He is young , enthusiastic and hungry for success unlike some of the names mentioned (Hoddle, Robson) He is full of spirit (PR speak for an odious little bastard) and is unlikely to accept anything less than 100% on the pitch and in training He gives the impression that there is only one way on doing it - his way and that is a belief all the great managers have had. He has had a lot of playing experience, which while not a pre-requisite for managers, it has been at the right clubs for our present plight- he has seen football on a shoestring at Wimbledon where he learnt how team ethics can overcome a lack of quality etc and then at Chelsea where expectations were a lot higher and they were almost a big club. At present we are a would be big club on a shoestring budget so he fits the bill Yes he is a hate figure for opposition fans but loved 100% by his own and that fits in exactly with the LUFC philosophy !! So come on Dennis your destiny awaits Dave PS - All this is written in a (legal) drug filled haze as I prepare for tonight's game, and is not to be used against me int he future !!!!! PPS Lets hope some other fans are at least intrigued if not excited by the appointment and start coming back to ER beginning tonight ! _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
