Personally I tend to think if you believe everything will be a bit cr*p and disappointing, then it will be.
I think the UK getting the Olympics is a fantastic opportunity and the best sporting event that will have occurred in the UK for 46 years. Can't wait for it and I think it will be fantastic. We are told competative sport in schools is a bad thing because the poor fat and geeky kids can't get involved and may feel inferior and yet planning permission for the 624th MacDonalds in a 10 mile square radius is rushed through. Local sport is neglected to the point where councils (Leeds in particular) treat local football as a joke and hike up the price of their ill kept pitches by 400% is 3 seasons, along with offering unkept changing rooms at treble the price with showers so shit you might as well just piss on each other after a game. The government is shit (I bet we're all still mightily chuffed we've seen the back of Maggie eh???
