Hmmmm, success is a strange thing in football given that so few managers actually achieve it (ie, winning trophies, titles, etc), what are we going to measure success by, league position alone or the ratio of cash spent to achieve that position, or one of the many other factors. I think that what we need at the moment is not to place emphasis on a managers previous record as it is not always a measure of how well they will do in the future but we need an arse kicker who is willing to kick the players around the car park every time they fuck up, and that will take a manager rather than a glorified coach. Using the above sentence as a criteria would make Souness a good candidate (not that I am saying it is the right one). Cheers Briggsy
