Yeah, but Ranieri's "contacts" are with top-flight players and clubs in other countries. What use are they? Is he going to persuade Inter Milan's fringe players to move to a cold, rainy town in northern England and get stuck in on a damp Tuesday night against some club they've barely heard of? Carver's 41 years old and has been involved in the British game virtually his entire life. What makes you think he doesn't have many contacts? I bet he has more contacts at the level that they'd be useful to us.
