Funny how the backlash for Blackwell's innevitable (and 6 months too late
demise) has been aimed at Rich W and not Ken Bates. If you've got that much
sway behind the scenes Rich can you see if we can get Kavannagh. Anyway onto
the game - I'd go with your team although I still reckon Stone's shown almost
nothing making him worth persisting with and I do reckon that there is still
promise in Beckford - a different manager may well get to the bottom of that
one - so I'd have him on the bench to come on with 25-30 minutes left just for
that injection of power and pace. Also seems to lose some of the point of
having Carole getting crosses in if your two target men's previous employer was
Snow White.

They key to it at the moment is keeping the ball, passing it on the floor and
turning Healy round so he's bearing down on goal. And a bit of passion

For tomorrow , I'd go with the following

Warner
Kelly (Captain)
Fox
Killa
Richardson
Derry,
Carole
Stone,
Westlake
Healy
Blake

Looking forward to it today. First time for a while.

Exactly.

As for prospective managers - The Rev hits the nail squarely on its head with
the reasons why Keegan, Hoddle, Wise, Gullitt (who the fuck ever thought that
was serious) O'Leary etc are non-starters. But its like anything else - we
bought Strachan from MancU - didn't like it at the time - but once you'd seen
what he did for us, how much it mattered to him, then the earlier history was
tolerated or even forgotten. And that's what would happen with the new guy -
While I don't like any of the above the only one I really cannot abide, as a
person as much as a manager, is Hoddle. Appointing him would be the one that
would make me seriously consider if I still wanted to be in the crowd. He is
loathsome.

For myself the runaway winner of the names mentioned as possibles would have to
be Curbishley - mainly because I think he could bring about a serious "total
club" reappraissal of every thing from the youth scouting up and this club
needs shaking up. But he would need the Wilkinson "10 years" for it to bear
fruit. But then I have as much influence on this decision as Rich Walker does.

I suppose Arthur Scargill's not interested.
