We recently have been noting how long it takes for the
opposition keeper to make a save. I think this season
we've had 32 mins, 38 mins and the worse so far 42
minutes. Well, we beat all those last night cos we
didn't have a shot on target all night. Yep, that's
not an exaggeration it's the truth. The first shot
(off target) was from Robbie Blake on 67 minutes which
nearly hit the corner flag. The Leeds fans erupted
into sarcastic cheers , followed by 'let's go f'cking
mental'. I swapped my NE stand season ticket for a
seat with the prawn sandwich brigade. We were sat just
behind Blackwell. It was interesting to say the least.
Blackie's body language was appalling - he looks like
a broken man and you can see that he just doesn't know
what to do. He went through the motions, shook hands
with the players he took off (no eye contact from any
of them) and pointed a few aimless instructions but he
got no reaction from the players who like their
manager look completely lost. It was shocking to see
and I am amazed that Blackie still has a job today.
Cuddly Ken was absent in the second half (not sure why
?). This was another poor performance. In the first 20
minutes we played as we always do - ball to Kelly then
punt into the box or ball to Crainey who then punts it
50 yards cross field. Aimless, pointless, basic
football (if that's what you can call it !). Kelly
made things worse by being unable to get the ball past
the first red and white shirt on 3 occassions.
Sunderland showed that you don't need to be great
footballers to play decent , effective pass and move
player - all you need is a bit of pace and a bit of
team cohesion. We have neither. We can't compete with
a midfield consisting of Douglas and Lewis. Both are
completely ineffective and Blackie's signing up of
Douglas on a 3 year contract is one of the worse
signings in the club's history. The team selection was
yet again puzzling. Carole, the best player in the
last game was dropped for an unfit Stone. Does Blackie
ever learn ? He's obviously sat there thinking , well
we played well against Palace with Stoney - I 'll play
him again and hopefully we'll rediscover that form.
Two things wrong with that. We were effective against
Palace because we played with a tight central trio of
Stone, Westlake, and Derry. They played close to each
other and managed to keep possession and play some
football. STONE WAS NOT PLAYING ON THE RIGHT WING !
and STONE IS NOT A RIGHT WINGER. He hasn't got the
legs. He needs to play centrally or just behind the
front two. Has Blackie not picked that up yet. Stone
was anonymous onthe right wing.
How many times do we have to realise that we haven't
got any pace in the team ? Carole has a bit of pace
and should have started.
63 minutes and Blackie's arse started twitching which
was his sign to do his Blake for Healy substitution.
You can set your watch by it. Uninspiring,
unimaginitive substitutions ! How about something a
bit different. Let's go for it and go down 5-0 rather
than plodding along with the same old tactics and same
old substitutions. How about Blake for Douglas ? We
needed someone to get the ball from midfield into the
box. Horsfield and Healy got nothing.
Blackwell is a negative, boring manager.

Not much more to say other than this was the worse
performance under Blackie in my opinion and that's
bleedin' saying something. Don't be fooled by the hard
luck tales that some want to use has an excuse for
Blackwell's incompetance. We are in the relegation
zone because we are currently one of the worse teams
in the league. You just can't see where the next point
is coming from. We were lucky to beat Norwich on the
opening day and had to rely on a pen to beat
Wednesday. We don't deserve any better.

Warner - 5. Made a few good saves which saves us from
a real drubbing. 5-0 would have been a fairer result.
Kelly - 1. Shocking performance.
Crainey - 0. Absent for all goals. Just look at their
goals. What is he doing. Killa even gets nearer to
Crainey's man on one of the goals than Crainey. He is
shit. Why is he our only left back ?
Butler - 3. Big , fat lard arse. He's our captain for
Christ sake.
Killa - 4. I think he looks lost at the back playing
amongst clowns.
Douglas - 0. Same old story - big pile of shite.
Lewis - 0. Same old story - big pile of steamy shite.
Stone - 0. Unfit and out of position. Shouldn't have
played.
Westlake - 2. I liked the look of this lad when he
first arrived. I;m beginning to change my opinion.
Reason ? Well, he can play a ball but HE LACKS PACE.
Horsfield - 0. Looked completely off the pace but
wasn't given a chance.

Subs :-

Blake - 2 ineffective.
Carole - 5. Caused a few problems.
Nicholls - 2. The best I can say about this debut is
that he looks the part but his passing was attrocious.
Got to be better than this if he is Blackie's saviour
as some on this list are suggesting.

Blackie - 0. take your prize Kev and f*ck off.
I'll save my told you so mail to the ever decreasing
numbers of Blackwell's supporters until the sacking.
Let's not loose perspective of the argument though.
Remember you lot wanted Blackie to be given a chance
this season whereas I think he'd proved that he didn't
have the nouse to take us any further by the form at
the end of last season and the performances depsite
having spent a lot of money and having a decent squad.
He doens't learn - he never will. He's inept in
everyway. It's looking like your decision to give him
more time is backfiring big time. We'll see.

Healy - 0. Never got a scrap.
