Yesterday's game was the final straw for me, I believe Blackwell is living on borrowed time and the sooner he goes the better. My choice of successor? Curbishley.
When I was back in UK recently I saw the wendys game and thought we just about deserved the win, though we never really looked like adding to another penalty 1 -0 victory. Now I confess a prior arrangement prevented me from reaching The Dubliner, the Singapore Whites home pub until just before half time but for me the first ever live championship game on Singapore telly was a complete damp squib. At no point in the 2nd half did we ever really look like scoring. Then I read that Blackwell is reputed to have said "Anybody who saw that display, I don't think, has got a lot to moan about, but if you don't win in style you get criticised here, if you don't win four or five you get criticised. Exactly how many 4-0s and 5-0s have we enjoyed in his tenure? QPR 6-1, wendys 3-0 last season. Through out KBs reign we have been pitifully grateful for single goal wins and he has the temerity to question the fans? I thought Carole looked promising, Moore was a waste of space, Uncle struggled and Butler regularly done for pace, Crainey was .... well Crainey. Beckford might have done better with longer than 15 minutes. I know we have injuries but Blackwell has built this team, he trains them and he sets the tactics. We are 16th, pretty much what you'd expect of a team that has won 4 out of the last 19 competitive games. I dislike the mackems with a passion, keane even more so, I hope we get one of these 4 or 5 nils to which Blackwell seems to believe we have become too accustomed! Then he can go wi' 'is 'ead 'eld 'igh.
