-------------

10,000+ saw a dreadful first half in which there were no shots on target
- one or two wafters from each side which went high and wide - Carole
showed some nice bursts down the wing, and there were some industrial
challenges.

For most of the second half we were in Chester's half without
threatening over much - then came a very silly goal - Blake wriggles
into the box, beats one, beats two - should shoot or pass square here -
tries to go through 3 Chester defenders, they fumble around with the
ball, spill it back to Blake he takes a feeble shot, bounces off a
defender to Lewis on the penalty spot - he has a go, this hits a
defender, cannons onto another defender or the post - hard to see - out
to Bakke on the 6 yard box - I thought it bounced back off Bakke (but he
might have had a swing at it so I might be being harsh) - this hits the
post and a defender tries to clear it but it has spun up and (just) over
the line.

>From then for the next 15 minutes we actually played pretty damn well -
Lewis skinning his bloke - crosses raining in - but the chance never
really came for the 2nd.

Chester twice were clean through on goal in the last 10 minutes but
fluffed it both times.

There was a dreadful late challenge on Sully and in another incident,
Foxe was coming up for a corner started wrestling with one of their
blokes who was blocking him and it nearly all blew up into
handbags...the ref and the lino saw nothing.

---------

Pointless exercise with the two Walcotts on the bench - instead we
brought the experienced Moore, Healy and Killa on to shore the game up.
Manager crapping himself?

--------

Foxe - looked OK ish - nothing special - won a few missed a few -

Some of our midfield played some of the worst passes ever seen.

Our tactic for the night was give the ball to Gregan at CHalf and he
will arrow a ball 50 yards out to Carole.

Beckford is very fast.
