That's what I said. Personally I would have had him in
my team in midfield rather than Douglas BUT the truth
was he wasn't good enough to play in MIDFIELD at
Championship level.
So why was he played there Mark ? THat isn't his
position ? Why didn't he get a chance at centre half -
his preferred position >
I'll tell you why Mark - cos Blackie ain't got a
fucking clue - that's why. He played him at right back
though ! That was funny - yet again another example of
a player struggling in a foreign position.
If you remember I would have gone with Killa and
Walton at the back from the start of last season.
Is 1m a good price ? Who knows ? We don't. Blackie
doesn't. Why would a premiership team pay that money ?
What position are they going to play him ? Let's see.
Once he gets a good run at centre half we'll be able
to see whether we should have kept him. Of course it
will be too late then. It would have been nice to see
a local lad at least being given a chance don't you
think. What a sickener if he he can hold his own in
the premiership at centre half ? Something that Gregan
could never do.
