No I read it right. You just fail to see the irony in your reference to the trip to Cardiff, made even more ironic by the fact you say you had a top day out.
You also seem to think that us 'Blackwell should be given a chance' lot are happy with mediocre football and under-achievement, which could not be further from the truth. THE main difference between myself and you seems to be the fact that I made myself have realistic expectations for the last 2 seasons. You, on the other hand, seem to have ignored what Bates and Blackwell said and done the classic football supporter trick of living in blissful ignorance of what actually has happened to our club over the last 4 or 5 years. It's a trick I use in life.. if I feel depressed/annoyed/stressed with something I now refer back to times when I had real reason to be depressed/stressed/annoyed and when you do that all of a sudden your current issues fall squarely back into perspective. When I saw Leeds last season, I wasn't looking at faults or what should be happening, or comparing us with a team that should win the league or be in the premiership, I was looking at the improvements over the last year or so and thinking 'this is progress'. On a purely footballing level I am consciously keeping my feelings and expectations in check because I still remember the utter nightmare of having my weekends ruined week in week out, and the very real prospect of doing a Sheffield Weds and sinking to the depths of the 2nd division. In that respect I may not be acting like a football fan, but I think Im acting in a totally reasonable way. I do have high hopes and expectations this season, and if we don't live up to them I will be whingeing and moaning like the rest of you :) > I think you only read what you want to read. I'm signing up to the > blackwell > is clueless list not because i had a wasted trip to cardiff but because i > think the bloke is clueless and have been saying so all season. In fact I > had a good day out at cardiff - in common with several of my away trips it > was a cracking day out spoiled by 90 minutes of football! > > S _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
