I sent my application yesterday but paid an extra quid to get it "Recorded Delivery".  Just checked Roya Mail website and it's arrive at ticket office.  So hopefully I'll get my tickets!

Total [EMAIL PROTECTED] shambles by the sound of it, I put my postal application in post on Tuesday afternoon, asking for tickets for myself and 3 mates all season ticket holders from Cumbria, Shitting myself now, no way to contact ticket office to check if they have received application.

Not a nice thought if someone can joining membership scheme then receive ticket on same day.

Arrived at 12.40 p.m. – served at 3 o’clock AM.

They only had £32 tickets left when I left – still a few poor souls after me.

Absolute debacle – saved only by fans good humour.

Two stewards in total – including that bloke from the kop with walkie talkie – didn’t do anything.
Proper queue across two carparks and then half way up the West stand Car Park it was a twenty across queue just not moving.
No-one stopping people coming in from sides, and then having to filter into 6 lanes.

At about Seven they opened the NE ticket office to season ticket holders – didn’t announce this of course….. just told the back of the queue first – causing a stampede, pandemonium and people who arrived later to get their tickets first

Occasional rumours of tickets in NE ticket office – which were sort of true – meant that people kept going round the other side many returning. At 12 I saw a bloke who said they had all types of tickets at NE. My mate confirmed this and I joined him at midnight – they only had single tickets scattered around the ground. Wanting a block together due to kids in the group – I went back to the main queue to the back. Fortunately several more rumours meant that I was not the last to be served – but I wasn’t far off !

What I want to know from Uncle Ken is …

Why people were allowed to sign up and become members and then buy tickets – rumour had it that they signed up and then moved to an individual turnstile – meaning the whole thing took 1 ½ hours.

Why more information was not given about how many tickets for the different categories of supporters were being reserved – reducing panic

Why the website changed mid morning to say first come first served…. – causing me to take a long long lunch !

Why, considering the amount of money they took yesterday , wasn’t proper stewarding employed ?

Why on earth were they not only selling travel – but actively marketing travel ? – it was taking on average over 5 minutes for each person to get served

Why have the season ticket holders been [EMAIL PROTECTED] on again ?

So if someone got you a ticket yesterday – you need to buy them a really large pint – you can’t miss ‘em – they’re the ones with sunstroke this morning.

And if you go today for tickets – did they have any non 32 quid tickets ?  – as I had the feeling last night that they did – but that they just couldn’t be arsed getting any – and were just dealing tickets in sector  L19 to the poor souls still there to get rid of us. Still at least I know I will be sat with lots of people I now  know – you get to hear a lot of funny stories in over 14 ½ hours – I heard so many life stories !!!!

I was fortunate to have a mate get my ticket(S) as I couldn't get there.  He was there at 7am and got served at 11.30am.

Another mate got there at 10am (that's 10 in the morning), when did he get served?
12.15pm - THAT'S A QUARTER PAST FCUKING MIDNIGHT!!!!!!!

14 and a half hours in a queue for tickets!

He says there were still plenty of people behind him!  And there were some ugly scenes.  People pushing in, new members being served first, no marshalling, no information, just rumour.  What a fcuking cock-up!  Will the club/Bates make an apology?  Don't hold your breath.

How is it, we sold 35K tickets for the Preston home leg with no hassle/queueing/problems and yet can't sell 33K tickets without this load of bollocks.

I just hope all the "real fans" get tickets.  Fcuk worrying about upsetting people - by real fans I mean the people who put money in the clubs pocket this season when the chips were down, they're the fans who deserve a ticket - not the ones who last went to Valencia, or the ones who stopped going when we sold top players x, y or z.  It was easy to "support" us then.

And yes, yes, we were all there in 1983 against Shrewsbury when the crowd was only 341 & in 1946 when pies were 7 ration coupons each & for the 1st game in 1919.  Were you here this season when the club needed you?
:-)
