Had a great day yesterday, originally we were going to Dublin but made the school boy error of waiting for the game to be officially confirmed so the price of flights ( we were going for the day) went from around £30 each way to over £200 eab way each - not paying that for a friendly. So we went on the Elland Road tour instead - I did the tour 25or more years ago when John McLelland was leading it - this time it was a female member of staff so she did not have the football insights or anecdotes that big John had , but she was knowledgeable, fun and clearly loved LUFC so it was a great hour and half . Going in changing rooms being the highlight ( obviously) and walking through the tunnel to the pitch . Can highly recommend. Also being at ER when it’s empty meant I could pose for pics / take photos of all the great stuff by the pavilion and of the revie and Bremner statues ( last time I was at ER I was up the statue, with a lot of help, celebrating promotion)After the trip we went to Toast bar to watch the Milan game on one of the seven or eight screens they have ( all showing Leeds) - quite a few in so a decent atmosphere to watch a decent performance Stach and Gudmunsson especially giving some hope for the coming season. As we all now know Schmidt is not good enough at RB , so let’s hope Bogle is fit, and we obviously lack something up top, but get that sorted ( and we know they are trying ) and we could just about be okNeed fans to be patient and be 100% behind the team for 90plus mins every game , no booing at half time , no moans and groans as we try and bore the opposition into submission Everton game is massive , 3pts and it’s lift off , a defeat and we wonder where the first point is coming from Worry that Bijol and Bournouw not playing yet But it has looked ok pre season - if this is worth anything Anyway roll on Monday night Dave _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: https://mailman.gn.apc.org/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected]
