My Dad has an OAP ticket and yes a light goes off when he goes through but you can upgrade for a small cost and redistribute your ticket to a member, when my dad can’t go we reassign it to my brother
You can chance it and are unlikely to get caught never seen stewards watching the lights as crowd mills in they are stood outside the turnstiles mostly, but Leeds are enforcing harsh punishments / bans for ticket fraud.
