Yep.............Bamford will always be well-remembered by me. At his best, his hold-up play and finishing were top class. However, I must also recall that missed pen at Stoke which he should never have taken and which arguably cost us promotion. And I also remember the last home game v Arse which we lost 1-0. He had already had one pen saved, and we were awarded another in the 97th minute. In the end, it was overturned by VAR, but as I left the ground I was weirdly relieved rather than outraged b/c I was sure Bamford would have taken it and missed again!
Absolutely scandalous though, the level of opprobrium he attracted from so many so-called fans.
