Tonight was a bit of a realisation that it is going to be tough this season. 65% possession is not enough in this league if you don’t make it count. We had lots of shots at goal, but few clear cut chances. Good points were that nearly all the players look comfortable at this level and that was still the case when we had players out of position towards the end. Koch looks a great signing and an excellent all-round defender, Struijk was ok on the ball but creaked a bit under pressure. Again, Phillips looked like he was left with too many players to deal with when Wolves broke quickly. Teams in this league are better at doing that, without giving Leeds the ball straight back. I wonder if Bielsa will have to change things a bit to tighten that area, or if it is a risk he is going to continue to be willing to take. After the first 15 mins, their defence got the measure of Bamford and Rodrigo. Harrison who has done well up to now, was guilty of not making the most of the more limited opportunities he gets. So despite good approach play, We never really looked odds-on to score. But I’m not too down-hearted. Every defeat last season felt like disaster. This time we kind of know we are going to lose more than we win. We could really do with getting something from the Villa game to keep some momentum and confidence. Perhaps Dean Smith will instruct Villa to let us walk one in!! KOT. Sent from Mail<https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=550986> for Windows 10 UK Shared Business Services Ltd.
