I'm not in quite in the unremittingly positive camp that Naefy occupies, but am more positive than last year for the following reasons. There is no team pursuing us equivalent in quality to Sheff U.WBA are not as good as Norwich.No-one wants the play-offs, but they still offer a chance to get promoted and the last 50 minutes v Derby really was a debacle that even we would struggle to repeat.Debacle-wise, I also agree that I'm not sure QPR qualifies. I went to Loftus Rd twice last season and we lost both, and my trip to Craven Cottage at Xmas was equally unsuccessful - we have lost our last 8 in London (guess that means anything at Brentford is a bonus) and while we can't have that continuing I thought that we were again unfortunate whilst not helping ourselves - the unnecessary nature of the Phillips tackle was debacle-esque (surely not a word) given how small our squad is and how important he is to the way we play. The pressure is off the chasers - if they do get up to us and/or WBA then they suddenly have something to lose and could suffer accordingly.I still love watching us play even when results aren't with us, we've watched too much rubbish in the last 15 years not to appreciate what we have now, however transient it may be and even if it doesn't lead to the Premiership. Not sure how much of a "debacle" QPR was. A penalty turned down at 0-0 and before Bamfords confidence was shot for the day, followed by a 'goal' that no one in the football world thinks should have stood, then we missed a penalty late on. Yes the result was awful but the performance etc was not that bad.Fans are losing it for 2 reasons - one last season and the awful collapse, we all worry that history is repeating itself.Second is the recall of Nketiah, despite him being less than peripheral whilst he was here, and the, as yet, failure to replace him. Given west brom going worse than us recently and brentford, Fulham and forest all dropping unexpected points things are still very much in our own hands. Beat Millwall and Wigan and things will look miles better The new lad from City , signing as I type, could give us a boost - he seems a 'wild card' and if he can give us that unpredictability we lack at times he could be the shot in the arm we need ( provided Bielsa gives him a game !)The future is still white, keep the faith.
