Hmmm. I'm not quite so optimistic. That was my first look at Costa. He's obviously hugely talented, but I am worried about his confidence level. I read a post from a Wolves fan about him..........it said that he was unplayable in his first season there, but last year he was awful and had obviously lost all his confidence.
I am also worried about Saint Pablo. Obviously, he is wonderful and hugely important, BUT...........it may sound harsh, but I blame him a lot for our collapse last season. After he missed that penalty v Wigan, he completely lost it. He couldn't make even the simplest of passes and lost possession every time he got the ball. Yesterday, he looked good in the first half and (to my surprise) scored the penalty, but then he immediately reverted to the Awful Pablo of April. Same diagnosis I think: he is prone to a sudden catastrophic loss of confidence.
