Yep great goal from Harrison who I thought was poor throughout.
I didn't see last year's game but I listened on RL and by all accounts we were
bullied out of it. Well, that was never the case today however I thought the
game highlighted to me that we are not good enough and we just lacked quality
all over the pitch and trying to overplay from the back in a game like this is
only going to work if you have quality.
I found the all game totally frustrating. We had nothing going forward and
every last pass was either overhit or just misplaced. This was our worst
performance of the season.
And as for the fitness factor, well we were fucked in the last 5 minutes and
injury time was just embarrassing as they played the most basic chip it into
the box football but we just seemed incapable of defending it. Our keeper was
nowhere and it was only really shit finishing that prevented an injury time
winner for them. Elliot (remember him) hit the post with yet another free
header in the box. We just collapsed.
I'm listening to Radio Leeds now and it's all 'we would have never have got
anything from this last year' - maybe ? and a draw, still unbeaten and still
top of the league (I think) cannot be grumbled at but for me, this was nowhere
near good enough and no better than a lot of performances I saw last year.
Scores:
Peacock - 4. When we were flapping at the end he did nothing. Awful keeping
Ayling -4. Defending poor and actually had our best chance but fluffed it.
Douglas - 5. Not effective going forward, defending desperate and his set
pieces are awful.
Jansson - 7. I thought he defended well throughout but like the rest he was
knackered at the end.
Cooper - 6. Did ok.
Philips - 3. Totally ineffective. Subbed
Kilch - 4. Sunday stroll perfromance not good enough in games like this.
Subbed.
Siaz - 6. Tried his hardest and showed our only glimpses of quality. Hasn't got
the legs though.
Harrison - 5. All 5 for his goal which was spectacular but his performance was
woeful.
Allioski - 1. Offside, off-side, off fucking side. What a brainless twat.
Roberts - 2. powder puff rubbish. Had chances and fluffed them all.
Subs:
Baker, Forshaw and Dallas - all ineffective.
Yes, I should be happy as I crack open a bottle of red but I'm not. I didn't
enjoy this match and our performance was lacking.
Anyone know what was happening on the sidelines with Harris and our bench ?
Looking to the next matches, I think we have real problems with a striker
option at the mo.

what a pile of shite. I think the best thing I could say is that they're
certainly not bullying us out of it mainly cos they are shit. Long throws as
per Boro are their main tactic.
we've tried to play but the obsession with passing it around at the back has
caused our main problems. the players aren't good enough to play that game
under pressure in a game like this.
We've created little , the best chance falling to Roberts just before half-time
when he ran for a ball, he was second best to win it but it fell for him and he
placed it towards the goal but it hit hte keeper and didn't have the pace. Not
surprisingly Roberts has looked a tad lightweight but he's had no service.
Harrison has hardly touched the ball in their half.
Allioski has made some good runs but guess what ? everytime off-side. Wish he
would grow some brain cells.
Difficult to call this one, but I suspect one of their long throws wll
eventually fall on Morrisons head. Just hope we can score at the other end. We
have defended well at times with Jansson and Cooper.
