I suspect Roofe (probably) and Cooper (almost certainly) will stay.
As has been said before, most of the squad are on long contracts and will
therefore stay unless someone comes in for them and we are unlikely to have
enough money for more than 2 or 3 additions.
Upfront our options at the moment are;Roberts - Never seen, completely
unprovenEkuban - Might be a player but probably needs a year on loan in the
lower divisionsGrot - Unlikely to be a player - needs to play for u23sAntonnson
- Assume we still own him
So I think we will look to buy another striker but it's unlikely to be for the
10m+ that would get you a consistent goalscorer, so given the new bloke will be
unproven as well, I cant see them letting Roofe go as the only player we have
got who has scored some goals - whether we think he is good enough or not. His
versatility helps as well.
For Centre-Back its probably more clear cut. Whoever is manager will want 3
Senior players and a youngster minimum.Shaugnessy or O'Connor would be the
young player but we only have Janssen (who was not much better than Cooper last
year) and Cooper left. So we already need one more CB - doubt the budget will
stretch to 2.  There is also a risk that someone wants to buy Janssen or he
agitates for a move post World Cup.  Again we'll have to keep someone like
Cooper who knows where Elland Rd is.
Depending on what Hecky thinks of De Bock - LB is the other priority along with
GK.
More interesting is what happens to Saiz.  First half of the season he looked
like a world beater. Second half a liability.  Is the fact that he went to
Myanmar when nearly every other senior player was let off, a sign that Hecky
hasn't made his mind up about him.

He’s absolutely rubbish.
One good game in every four or five isn’t good enough.
He’s got no bottle - one heavy challenge on him and he’s looking at the bench
to get subbed.
Was it Millwall game when TC subbed him because Roofe said he was exhausted?
If we want to be in top six we need better than him. I’d not even keep him as a
squad player - I think his attitude is poor and we’re better off getting rid.
We might be able to con a decent transfer fee out of someone for him because of
what appears to be a decent goal record. You have to remember though that 3 of
them were against Newport County in the league cup.
