None of the names fill me with confidence - I assume (false hope?) that given
the timing of the sacking 9pm on a Sunday, they already have the next one lined
up and sorted
If it is Heckingbottom or anyone else currently in a job then I hope he has
already agreed and we don't end up with the Martin O'Neill situation where the
current club refuse to let us speak to the manager
I do want a manager who is brought in for the long term and not just till the
end of the season - we do not want to go into pre-season, yet again, starting
from scratch. Monk leaving meant that last season was a total write off and not
the spring board we wanted. A caretaker type would mean this season would be
another 'one off' with no lessons learned
