My comment regarding TC having a word with George Graham wasn't tongue-in-cheek
- the defensive coaching, from goalkeeper, back 4 and defensive midfield is, as
you say, schoolboy like. Unless this is sorted we're stuffed. It is so easy to
get behind our defenders, so unless Saiz can hold the ball for 80% of the
match, then I expect more defensive lapses.
The next 3 games have a make or break feel about them?

Now that I have deleted all those ridiculous emails...
For various reasons I haven’t seen many of our recent games (a case for more by
luck than judgement) so have been catching up with the highlights and my main
comment as to the goals we have conceded, at least against Sheffield Utd and
Derby is “ball-watching”. Absolutely criminal, school boy, ball watching in our
defence. Who is coaching these guys…and who is organising them on the field,
because they need a rocket. Both Sheffield goals we had 3 or 4 defenders in the
box, just no one marking the only striker in there…and then there was Sharp’s
miss from that quick free-kick.
One thing that was impressive at the start of the season was the tempo of our
game, the way we were pressing the other team, up in their own half. We seem to
have dropped off this, quite catastrophically - doing this obviously relieves
the defence.
…and as for Lasogga’s miss from Saiz’s cross…woah! (but it is not all his fault
by a long chalk)
Nick
