This could be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

When I saw the same midfield lining up I feared the worst. Others have said it,
but I'll repeat it, our current midfield is not skilled enough or tough enough
to play the diamond successfully. No movement and erratic passing leaves the
forwards without any service. This is pretty clear to all.

I think the new players are an improvement on the old, and I like what Cellino
is doing, young more skilful players, a few older heads, but I don't understand
why Austin in particular is keeping his place when Cook is fit and by all
accounts a natural defensive midfielder. We're playing more or less the same
midfield unit as last season and like last season, it isn't working. I don't
understand why Hockaday thinks anything will change. Austin isn't the only
problem, but he's the worst from what I've seen.

The good news is that Cellino is boosting the midfield options. The Italians
need time to bed in and I think its going to be a long autumn. Much will depend
on the next month I think. If this form continues, Hock will be toast and
rightly so. He needs to show improvement week on week.

The good news? Fulham, beaten 5-1, bottom of the league. Hey ho!
