I used to have a bit of admiration for the Scousepool fans after the incredible
ovation we got at Anfield in 1969.

That soon wore off in the late 70's and 1980's though when all they did was
gloat as they "ruled" the English game whilst we were in decline - something
they had never managed to do when The Don was in charge. They were the "scum"
of that era - expected to win everything, expected every decision to go in
their favour, and moaned like f**k when it didn't. Some of us have got long
memories!

Scousepool to win the league? Do me a favour - we'll never hear the last of it!

Let's hope Mourinho really is the Special One and does Man City (and all of
us!) a favour on Sunday.
