I don't really agree with that - if a player misplaces passes, misses open
goals, is out run or out muscled etc  , then I can see that he is either a poor
footballer or is playing badly.I have 35 plus years experience  of watching us
and our opponents week in week out to judge the games and individuals by.I
never recommend that we should buy this player or that and never comment on
someone we are linked with until we get him and I see him play because I know
my knowledge is lackingMore often than not people on here agree - with some
minor differences- on the content of my match reports and I get a lot of
replies that start "I totally agree, Dave"So I don't really see this as a 'big
negative'

(Not a clue what the other 'big negative' in not watching other games is)
Basically I LOVE watching Leeds United and am gutted that I can no longer go to
(m)any away games, as for football in general it does very little, if anything
for me. I reckon that that is the same sort of view that most on here feel
about womens football - it is still football but we have no interest in it
I do get how fans can like going to watch other games in the flesh especially
the classic derbies etc a good day out with mates and a few beers  - indeed
when there was talk of Smith going to Valencia, me and my mate had decided we
would try and get over there to watch him  But watching 2 teams, both of whom I
more than likely dislike / hate, on TV just does not cut it for me.

Surely Dave, another big negative with this sort of approach is you cannot
have a fuller, more rounded understanding of what is good and what isn't
in the game?
