Schmeichel was Notts County's keeper! Yes it was a good signing but don’t
forget 50% of the wow factor was his name.

We are still within the top 10 "footballing brands" in England, we are just
not paying silly wages it seems. If we went out tomorrow and offered
Longeran £20k a week and Woodgate £40k a week they would be Leeds players.

I cant understand after all we have been through that people still want to
pay silly wages and transfer fees for the sake of it. I repeat look at Boro
last season

My worry is the overall message that has been received and is now seemingly
'an accepted'. Leeds are a team that you say no to. Too many people have
said No. So that makes it trendy. We are no longer famous or even desirable.
We are at the stage where there is a 'something is wrong factor'. I wonder
just how much damage we did in the footballers community by selling
Scmeichel as we did. It was a big plus bringing him. A sign of intent and
status. I fear that the opposite is working especially when we are making a
real sow's ear out of replacing him.
The whole episode has been bungled in a way reminiscent of Professor Plum's
eon. The only difference was the pocket where the money ended because of the
act.
Sinking into a state of worry.
As things are we are more likely to be fighting relegation than promotion.
God help us if the Malignant Stoat drags into another off field crisis,
which is not beyond the realms of probability.
The bastard Bates has run his course.
