I was going to comment on the orginal causes of the friction between Rob and Mike, but on reflection decided that it's impossible to say *anything* that won't be misconstrued by one or the other - so I won't. Best chippie in Horsforth - discuss. LS18 - Leeds or not - vote now! Leeds Grammar School - fine educational establishment or bunch of jessies?

In that context violence against women or men is not acceptable and is something everyone should bear in mind. Having said that I think that the relationship, however either party percieves it, between Michael and Robert has reached a nadir. You will notice that neither of them has posted to the list since this latest issue. Privately I understand that Michael has left the list on the basis that he is no longer enjoying it, Robert has not said anything one way or the other. I have taken the time to look back over the postings of both people and to consider what I know about both people. To be quite honest I'm surprised at the way that this has worked out. I have met both people, admittedly some time ago and I have no axe to grind with either of them. Again, having said that, I do wish that some of the more personal, non football stuff hadn't happened here. On that basis I am going to email both of them and ask them to re-read our bible, Gav's excellent list guide and get them to decide for themselves if they really should be here or not. Neither of these two men are stupid nor are they daft enough to think that this situation can go on (Michael has already admitted this to me privately). I find it sad to think that our common bond of being Leeds fans means that we can't find adult ways of overcoming other differences, or at least tempering them with some sort of reasonable behaviour. I've already had to coax one other greatly appreciated lister back into the fold this tear, I'd prefer not to have to do it again. If anyone can think of any other way of dealing with this I'd welcome your thoughts. If we can't deal with this what hope has any other bugger got? I mean do we look like WACCOE on a slow Friday afternoon or what?
