I added it only for sunxi, because this needs extra testing on the other platforms like ipq806x, archs38, arc770, pistachio and oxnas. I do not have devices for most of these targets so testing is hard for me and I would not be surprised if I would break some of them. I also think it does not bring a big advantage to these targets, I added it to sunxi because the new version adds support for the controller used in newer Allwinner SoCs, without this patch Ethernet is not working at all.
