Hello, Apparently there is a confirmed regression with Lede for at least three devices when inserting a USB 3.0 device during boot [0]. The USB port then is found dead until the next reboot. I'd like to identify the extent to which this issue is affecting Lede and get answers to the following questions:
- Does it affect all devices with one USB 3.0 port [1]? - Does it affect all devices with two USB 3.0 ports [2]? - Is it limited to ipq806x devices or more widespread [3]? When you have a device running Lede that comes with at least one USB3.0 port then please insert a USB 3.0 drive/thumb drive and power it on. If you happen to get similar dmesg messages from your cmdline within the first 30 seconds after poweron then please report to FS#177 with a full dmesg. usb 1-1: new high-speed USB device number 2 using xhci-hcd usb 2-1: new SuperSpeed USB device number 2 using xhci-hcd xhci-hcd xhci-hcd.0.auto: xHCI host not responding to stop endpoint command. xhci-hcd xhci-hcd.0.auto: Assuming host is dying, halting host. xhci-hcd xhci-hcd.0.auto: Host not halted after 16000 microseconds. xhci-hcd xhci-hcd.0.auto: Non-responsive xHCI host is not halting. xhci-hcd xhci-hcd.0.auto: Completing active URBs anyway.
