I think Jo panicked a bit, 750 lines patch sounds perfectly fine for
sending as an uncompressed e-mail.

It seems your LED driver duplicated hc595 support that is already
implemented in the gpio-74x164.c. I successfully used that driver for
some Buffalo's Broadcom based device
(arch/arm/boot/dts/bcm4708-buffalo-wzr-1750dhp.dts).

I'd suggest doing some research on that hc595 driver. Meanwhile you
may send support for MR3420v3 without the LED driver if you wan, it
may save you some rebasing work. I believe we'll be fine with MR3420v3
support without LEDs for now.
