The idea is to keep all previously selected options in the new legacy target. Looking at the specs of the AMD Sempron I agree that it would be better to keep that needed PATA drivers. I will consider that in v2 of the patch (and maybe move to a staging tree, so such changes could be suggested as on-top patches as well).
