Ok, I got on the wrong foot seeing the screenshot of the build lazarus
dialog on the wiki.
This was created with an aqua theme for gtk. ;)

I don't recall mentioning here I have misunderstood anything. Can you
explain what you are referring to?
It thought, you thought, that the carbon intf is ready for the examples or
even the IDE. It is not.
Why would I think otherwise? If I new what I know now would I have asked the
same questions? What do you think?
You can write a multithreaded, opengl application, or a simple form with a
with buttons and edits. That's all.
That's a start. Too bad I'm not really into widgetsets, otherwise I would
really help you.
